NAFL (National Academy of Financial Literacy)  is a  Career School Licensed in the State of Oregonand  holds approval as an NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) licensed institution.

 

Your education is delivered by top Professionals and all our classes, policies, and procedures are set to the standards of other Professional (Business Colleges, Community Colleges, Universities) Schools.  We are regularly audited by the officials that regulate us.

The National Academy of Financial Literacy is proud to announce our School Approval with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.  Our  NMLS Provider number 1400116, grants us School approval to offer NMLS Certified Classes.

We offer both Live and Online classes to satisfy NMLS Federal Credit and NMLS State Credit Requirements. 

We also offer for credit classes to Realtors and other Career Paths.

We have been offering "for Credit Classes" to Mortgage Loan Originators since 2003.  Our Classes are designed to offer a quality education experience.  Our Students rate their experience in our classes with very positive comments.

PRIVACY NOTICE

 National Academy of Financial Literacy has an entire policy and procedures manual written to catalog and protect student information.  Per Oregon Department of Education Career School Division Statute, student records are retained for 25 years, in a secure and protected manner, per State and Federal Credit Law, Identity Theft Law and other pertinent privacy laws.

 We restrict access to non-public personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your non-public information.

 We collect non-public information about you from the following sources; (i) information we received from you on student enrollment or other forms.

 We may disclose the following kinds of non-public personal information about you:

  1. information we received from you on application or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, date of birth,
  2. information maintained with us, our affiliates, or others such as State and or Federal Registries as required by Statute specific to Statute in the industry that you work in. 

 We may disclose non-public personal information to the following types of third parties:

1. State Regulatory Agencies

2. Federal Regulatory Agencies:

3. State and Federal Licensing Authorities

4. Proctored Testing Companies that have contracted with National Academy of Financial Literacy, State and or Federal Regulatory Agencies. 

5. Others, such as non-profit organizations

We do not disclose to non-profit agencies by policy at this time

We do not disclose to outside agencies at any time unless legally mandated to do so, or upon written request by you, such as transcript requests. 

We may disclose the following information to companies that perform services on our behalf or to other education institutions with whom we have a joint agreement:

  1. information we received from your application or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number,
  2. information about your transaction with us, our affiliates, or related parties

 This notice is provided to you pursuant to Privacy of Consumer Financial Information Act and Federal Trade Commission’s implementing regulation thereunder, 16 CFR Part 313.  This includes specifically State Identity Theft Laws and the Red Flags Rule of the FACT Act. 

 

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION

Cancellation of a Continuing Education class will result in a loss of the full tuition if the cancellation is less than 5 weekdays prior to the date of class.  A $25.00 transfer fee is charged, if you request a transfer to another class unless the transfer is a full 5 working days from the date of class.  Class Credits are freely given when there are extenuating circumstances.  Please call us for details.

Cancellations  and refunds are processed between the 1st and 10th of each month following the prior month cancellation..

NOTE: WHEN A CANCELLATION, TERMINATION, OR TRANSFER OCCURS, A CALCULATION OF ALL ALLOWABLE CHARGES SHALL BE MADE, USING THE LAST RECORDED DATE OF ATTENDANCE IF ANY, AS A BASELINE.

Class cancellations must be in writing and can be delivered via email.  Cancellations delivered in email or US Mail will be responded to within 14 calendar days of notice.  Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the notice of cancellation and is usually processed within the first 8 days of the month. An accounting of the funds retained in relation to fees paid, will accompany the refund.

 

STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Students with Disabilities or Limitations should contact the School at least 7 days in advance of attending a live class.   We have many ways of assisting Students who have special needs and would need to prepare in advance.
